This is often claimed to be "Bryan's Theory of Love" but if anyone knew Edo they'd know that it was really him who started it.
Haha.
Sorry Bryan!
"The potato" is the ultimate gift of love. Just think about roses.
1) All roses do is look good. So thats like saying "I only love you for your beauty."
2) Roses die after like, 2 weeks, even if you keep them in water. So that's like saying "My love, in addition to being based on your beauty, is transient and fleeting."
3) Roses have thorns--so thats like saying "Well you're hot, but you're a bitch."
But potatoes. Potatoes last for-fucking-ever, if you refrigerate them.
1) So that's like saying "My love for you, with a small bit of work, is eternal."
2) Potatoes are hella useful--you can mash them, bake them, turn them into potato soup, potato salad, french fries, tater tots, hashbrowns--so that's like saying "Our love is versatile and cool in many ways and we can have fun no matter what we're doing."
3) Potatoes are kinda plain--so that's like saying "Even if some girl comes along who looks better than you, I'll still love you because our love is founded on so much more than looks."
Potato is a lovegift.
