Noodles on a Bike

Did I say cold?

I MEANT TO SAY FREAKING FREEZING!!!

IT SNOWED!
AND IT WAS LOVELY AND GLORIOUS AND BEAUTIFUL!
AND I GOT TO CLOSE EARLY AT WORK BECAUSE OF IT!

AND I DROVE HOME REALLY SLOW.
AND MY CAR WAS COVERED IN IT.

AND I WAS HAPPY.
:)

A guy came up and asked me for a cigarette today.

Despite his cute-ness I stuck true to myself.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe in lung cancer."

He even laughed.
And then I shivered. Because it was really cold today.

You know what isn't fair?

When nice guys always finished last.

They really shouldn't.

It only makes sense for them not to. They are the nice ones after all.

Torn between Two Lovers,

Feeling like a Fool.

Haha.
I need to ride my bike today.
I'm feeling deprived.

Snow yesterday... was more than awesome. Oh man.
That powder... is perfect. And not that cold. Next time I'll wear better gloves. Fur shure.
And hopefully there will not only be a larger group, but there will be use of the Suburban.
UGH.

CHAINS>
Haha, at least I had my mountain men with me to help. :)
Thankee Dwight and David for being good tire chain puter-on-ers.

More later. I'm at Annie-Poo's house.

"Go out everyday like you're trying-out for cheerleading."

Words of wisdom from my co-worker Millie.

So that I can learn to be better at my job. And less shy.
:sigh:
It's hard to be social with people I don't know! And have no background with.

Oh.

And about worrying about studying.

My teachers are really good at lecturing.

First quiz 'o' the semester:
11/10

HUZZAH!

Confusion...

Is not the greatest state.

I think it's about time for the yearly pilgrimage past that little town called Confidence.

Tuesday, February 20, 2007

Oh, and about it being... "over"?

I guess it's not?

I really am in a confused state of mind.
But it's alright, it's not to terrible here.

I don't know if I'm doing enough school work.

An equation that can prove... troubling.

TREES HAVE LEAVES!

AND BRANCHES!

AND GRASS HAS BLADES!

AND I CAN READ THE SIGNS ON THE FREEWAY!

OMG. I love new contacts.

It's over.

Again.
Ugh.

OH well.
IT's a vicious cycle in life, isn't it?

Falling in, falling out.

And then, late at night, someone signs on.
And even though... nothing will ever happen... it's still nice to know that they're there, and that they care.

You fill my heart with gladness,

Take away all my sadness.

Ease my troubles,
That's what you do.

Have I told you?

That there's no one else above you?

Have I told you lately?

That I love you?

You're like the wind,

Through my trees.

When I see you smile,

I can face the world.

You don't have to be cool,

To rule my world.

My eyes hurt.

But that doesn't really matter.
LOL.

It's been a pretty good Valentine's Day so far, thanks for asking.

Hooray being single on Valentine's Day!
Eh.
Oh well. I bought myself two Valentine's Day presents.
:D

So, I'm my own Valentine.

Daisies are White,

Roses are Red,
You're the Greatest Thing,
Since Sliced Bread!

Roses are Red,

Chickens eat Corn,
I'd rather stare at You,
Than watch Porn!

Violets are blue,

Roses are Red,
You're really hott,
Come sleep in my bed?

Oh my dear friends,
The Valentine's Day fun,
Has only just begun.

:D

Happy Valentine's Day.

:)

THe title says it all.

I'm celebrating the 18th Valentine-less year.
Hooray!

Pherf says it's really just independence practice.
I think he's right.

"You're awesome Erika."

Thankee Daddy.
:D

Christmas Miracles!

Do not last forever.
:(

So, a few days ago my car magically started working. Like, ever since I've had the car the dome light does not turn on when the doors are opened and the little "door is open light" didn't turn on.

Then! Coming home from work one day a magical thing happened!
IT WORKED!
And I was happy.

That was Friday.

Sunday rolls around and guess what?
I don't drive my car, well, my dad drove it, but I didn't.

I get in my car this morning?
THE LIGHT DOESN'T WORK.
:( sigh.

Oh well.
It was fun while it lasted!!!

Today was a glorious day...

Sleeping in late, riding my bike with Anne.

Pretty good dinner, dirty clothes all day.
:)

Not to mention a lovely early morning.
And now, finishing the day with House of Sand and Fog.

Lovely lovely.

House of Sand and Fog

Not only an amazing book, also a quite good movie.

:D

Ahhhh crap is good.

"A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle."

-Irina Dunn

Okay, so I read this quote and thought it was funny and was like, "Tru dat!" But then I really got to thinking about it.
What if a fish did happen to have a bicyle? Wouldn't it just sit there useless? Can bicycles even work underwater? Isn't it just pollution for a fish to have a bicycle? There is no possible way a fish can get any use out of a bicycle.

So I think the quote needs to be revised, "A woman needs a man like a child needs a bicycle."
Because:
Children do not need bicycles. There are children in this world who have lived a full and complete lives bicycle-less, but let me tell you what.
If that kid had a bicycle, life would be soooo much more fun.

And it's not like you expect the kid and the bicycle to be together every minute of the day, maybe when they first get the bicycle they're really interested, but after a while it'll get covered in dust and only used for entertainment every once in a while.
But it'll still be there.

Also, some parents think that kids have to have bicycles, it's part of growing up, other parents say that it's too dangerous for kids to ride a bicycle until they're older, or that kids need to start with training wheels and eventually learn how to ride a real bike.

:sigh: There must have been a shift in the cosmos, I'm making metaphors again.
LOL.

And, two other interesting things about bikes (in a metaphorical sense):
1) You never forget how to ride a bike.
2) You have to wear a helmet to protect your head (knee/elbow pads optional).

(hahahahahahahhahahaha)
:)

I have a new passion.

I call it puddle-riding.

It's like puddling jumping, but you do it on a bike. So... you ride through the puddle instead of jumping into the puddle.

Um yeah. The fun part is the magical little thing called hydroplaning (well, it's kind of like that) so you end up getting nearly as wet as you do when you puddle jump.

And did I mention that the muddier the puddle the better?

Because the muddier it is, the less likely you are to be able to judge the depth of the pool... :D.
Oh, and the dirtier you get.
And the muddier you are, the better you feel.

Ooooh man I love mud.
And bikes.
And the rain.
And and and! Everything.
I love life. :)

Regardless, everything's going to be alright (rockaby).

Our family in France:

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

I know what I want to be if I grow up.

I wanna be a sexpert!

Yeah!

Tru dat.

An English Professor wrote these words:

"A woman without her man is nothing"

on the blackboard and then asked the students to punctuate it correctly.

All of the males in the class wrote:
"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

All of the females in the class wrote"
"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

PUNCTUATION IS POWERFUL.
I do like grammar, even if I'm not every good at it and have a strange love of ellipses.

I hate being blind.

Went to the eye doctor today.
I'm even blinder.

And it sucks.

And I now have stigmatism.
The thing where my eye is growing a funny shape... and it can prevent me from getting lazer eye surgery when I'm older.
:sigh:
Yeah. I hate this.

:(

So. Driving home.
Only one thing could fix my mood.
It starts with Guns and ends with Roses.
:D

Boys...

are effing confusing.

And I really want to go mountain biking again.
More trail time this time.

yeah.
I'll go tomorrow.
:)

Monday, February 05, 2007

I worked out a lot today.

And am therefore quite tired.

But today, in general, was awesome.

Working out for... three hours straight felt really good. Not crazy work out obviously, but it felt really good.
A nice tiredness in my arms.

And then 'Cole and I rode bikes for about six miles. I think I'm going to go back out tomorrow after school or something and try to ride the trail more than the road.
:)
That'd be awesoooome.

I'm feeling good, feelin' fine.

And... Valentine's Day is coming.
And so is this amazing little thing called the Annual Valentine's Day Party!

Hooray SuperBowl!

Today was a good day.
:)

I'm tired.

Davis last night was amazing.
I'm still excited over how much fun we had. And how awesome my bowling skillz are.
LOL.

Davis...

is a glorious place.

Especially with good friends. :)
I love you guys!!!

Yeaaah, we had fun.
And I finally won bowling!! huzzah!
I almost even broke 100. :) 93's pretty darn close!

And... let's see...
Amazing Woodstock pizza and Ben and Jerry's...
And lovely lovely sex conversation throughout the entire day/night.
Haha.
We truly have one track minds.
But that's okay.

Amy=Slut
Christine=Whore
Erika=Super Whore/Wench/Skank

Yeep. S'true. LOL.

It's days like these that make me think that the good old days can be beaten... and beaten badly.

Haha!
(but I just wish I wasn't the fifth wheel)
(but I've also got to add that it didn't feel like I was the fifth wheel. Any fifth wheel thinking was my own fault, not the fault of Amy, Christine, Luke or Zach. And that's a true story)

OKay.
Tomorrow (er, later today) is the SuperBowl!
WHOOT!
Family time... :D
(and no Dwight, still "too busy", Erika reads: "not interested in hanging out with you" oh well. t'is life. i'm too hott for that kind of crap anyways)

HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!

Watching Groundhog Day every single year on Groundhog Day... the family tradtion.

We watch it over, and over, and over again.
Lol.

Hooray!
This movie's cute.
:D

"Is smoke supposed to be coming out of the oven?"

"What?! What!? There's smoke???"

"Nope, I never said there was smoke coming out of the oven, I just said, is there supposed be smoke coming out of the oven?"

Oh Dad.
You're funny.

Expection is the mother of frustration.

Perhaps I should ponder Hindu thoughts more often.

Because as soon as I expect something it doesn't happen. And when I don't expect things, stuff happens that makes me happy.
UGh.
Whatevs.

Okay, no more expectations.
No more getting one's hopes up.
Just.... let it be.

Thursday, February 01, 2007

So the last few mornings...

My sister has been taking my shampoo.

OKay, not really a problem because, who gives a care, it's just shampoo.

Except for she usually doesn't return it.
So I get in the shower only to discover five minutes later that I have no shampoo.

And this house is effing cold.
And I generally have to get out, run across the living room and retrieve the stolen shampoo.

BUT NOT THIS MORNING!
HA!
I rememberd to check!
TAKE THAT CRISTEN!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Just a little something something of random stuff. Planning on going to France? Read my first three weeks of posting.
